About Landin:

A lifelong resident of Georgetown and graduate of Great Crossing High School, Landin began engaging in local government early—first running for the SWCD board at 15 and later, winning in 2020. He continues to serve today.

Now a political science student at DePaul University, he brings a generational voice to environmental policy and rural leadership, emphasizing sustainable agriculture, clean water, and civic participation.

In his role, he helps oversee conservation grants, water quality programs, and youth education initiatives across Scott County.

Landin’s work has been recognized both locally and nationally. He has been featured by organizations such as NBC, Harvard’s Institute of Politics, National Geographic, and Good Morning America for his pioneering public service, forward-looking advocacy, and commitment to education.

At the district level, he collaborates with state and federal partners to deliver cost-share programs to farmers and launch community stewardship projects—from streambank restoration to rain garden installations.

A frequent public speaker, he urges young people to get involved in government and shape the future of their communities. Through action and example, Landin has become a prominent Gen Z voice in Kentucky’s conservation and civic landscape.
